Improvement works to the autism unit at a midlands school is in the midst of a four year delay.
That's according to Laois Offaly Independent TD Carol Nolan, who says the work due to be carried out at St. Brendan's Community School in Birr needs a 'speedy' conclusion.
The autism spectrum disorder unit was originally granted at €2 million, and the glazing project for the school was to be €2.5 million - those costs have now jumped to €12 million.
