(Ireland) Bray: School opens more ASD classes; principal 'delighted'

Mar 11, 2025, Irish Independent: Bray School Project celebrates opening of new autism classes

There was plenty of excitement at Bray School Project as they celebrated the official opening of their autism class extension, which is a step forward in making the school more inclusive for all students.


Guests of honours included the chief executive of Educate Together Emer Nowlan and former principal Carol Lanigan.


The existing autism classes were all completely reconfigured, including the laying down of new floors.


The 12 students who attend the autism classes were moved to mainstream classes while the works were taking place for close to two and a half months, while fifth and sixth class students were accommodated in St Fergal’s, until the works were complete. . . .


School Principal Alan Bedford applied for the additional facilities back in February of 2023.

He said: “We were delighted to hold our official opening. . . .
