Feb 5, 2025, KCAU, Sioux City, IA: New South Sioux City (NE) autism center holds open house
Staff members of the Lighthouse Autism Center welcomed in community members for tours of the facility on Wednesday and answered any questions that were brought up. The center is set offer a comprehensive range of services, including speech therapy and autism diagnostic testing.
Officials say this new location reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to providing top-quality autism services to communities in the Midwest.
“Part of Lighthouse’s mission is to serve underserved areas, so when we looked at South Sioux City, we realized that there aren’t very many [applied behavior analysis] providers here,” regional director Lindsey Aberle said. “So we wanted to come into this community to help grow their services.”
Aberle says that the new center will create up to 35 new job opportunities and can serve up to 25 families. The facility will officially open on Feb. 24.
