Jan 14, 2025, County Times: Summergil School for children with autism set to expand 

Summergil School in Presteigne has been granted permission to increase its pupil numbers from 22 to 50 and to decrease its age registration from five to four.


The school, which opened in 2016, is run by Orbis Education and Care, which manages 25 schools, day services, and residential facilities for children and adults in Wales with complex needs associated with autism. . . .


Eve Hodett, executive head of education at Orbis, said: "The expansion of Summergil House is an exciting time for the organisation and gives us the opportunity to provide inspiring lifelong education for more children in the Powys area as well as across the border in areas like Herefordshire and Shropshire. . . .
